It Can Happen to YOU!
Fraud is the game you didn't know you were playing...
BUT you are playing it against the pros!
Just for a few minutes I want you to consider a comparison to baseball. These people are the Major League pitchers and you are not even a little league player. The grand sum total of all your game experience on which you base your belief that you are too savvy a player to fall for any scam comes from the equivalent of reading the sports page and sharing the odd pick-up game with friends. Your attention to fraud and scams includes no coach and no practice rounds, as all your exercise in this field comes from armchair experience while you infrequently read or hear of such things that only happen to other people.
And from this, you truly believe that you are way too smart to ever fall for any scam. In this attitude you are considered the well prepared perfect target! Yes, there are simple scams that your instincts will deflect easily but your arrogance leaves you vulnerable to the more complex pitches that may even seem to be reasonable business propositions.
You must remember that these are professional pitchers, with a devastating arsenal of different major league pitches that have been developed from years of practice experience. As an example, the Nigerian Fraud Industry has been successfully working the world as their own private investors group for over 30 years. For every dozen fraud pitches that you may easily smell a scam there is gong to be one that sounds to you from all your worldly experience like it could be a real deal.
A Fraud Investigator from a major Canadian Police force explained to me the average person will offhandedly see through and discard many fraud propositions BUT as knowledgeable as we may feel there are always cracks in the education armour and days when things are generally going in such a way that for whatever reason you will have a window of open vulnerability.
The pros know this as a statistic and work it like a numbers game; put simply for every so many pitches they get a strike! One day, the one slider pitch proposition comes along that hits your strike zone with just the right spin that your mind mulls it over as a realistic deal. On that day, without any advance warning you discover yourself playing in the fifth inning as an amateur sandlot player pitted against a Major League pitcher's 100 mph fast ball; through no fault of your own you will be the victim, you have no chance!
If you want to have a chance on that day..
