WHAT CAN HAPPEN TO ME?
Fraud has such a totally destructive impact
that your life as you know it may evaporate
and feel as though it is not worth going on.
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE THIS WAY!
When times go wrong with the things that we believe are important, they always hurt. The hurt can come in many forms. These include lost reputation, financial strife, interpersonal turmoil, emotional pain, and even physical pain! These can be termed the clinical effects of deeply stressful events in your life ...if you allow your beliefs to be invested in difficult times.
As we walk through the experiences of life, one thing is absolutely true. Perception is everything! If at anytime we give something a thoughtful importance, forever after if anything goes wrong with that something, it will hurt to a degree equal to the importance that we have applied to it or those people associated to it. We must remember that the original importance given to a particular thing is simply a personal choice, so not all upsets are going to affect every person, or affect them to the same degree. However, many issues in human life are set to core beliefs taught in youth and there will be a common personal impact. Your reputation, financial position, trust and betrayal are often among those common core beliefs that deeply hurt all of us when we are torpedoed by fraud attack.
The important key is to remember that regardless of whether you learned to make this element important in your life or unconscious decisions along the way made it important, it was still a choice. How you perceive things can always be a choice. You can choose to change your mind, to lessen the importance of the attack on you, and it will not have the power to cause you pain.
Remember: Fraud is an action perpetrated against you. You are still the same well meaning person you were before the attack. You may have been gullible and made a mistake but you are not guilty of a crime simply because you were victimized.
Do not internalize and become your case of Fraud regardless of what others may say to implicate you!
