Long Term Effects of Fraud
Fraud is not going to kill you,
unless you allow yourself to fall.
The Fraud that doesn't kill you,
makes you stronger and wiser!

When life seems so hard that you do not know how you are going to make it and you feel like giving up in defeat, you are on the very precipice of a breakthrough. When you are tired of fighting and struggling and it seems that as one problem is resolved, there is another following right behind, it is time to look at the overview of things to see if there is a pattern of meaning and something of guidance in all the turmoil that is actually showing you the way.

There is reason to believe that little or nothing happens in this dimension without having purpose and reason behind it. Regardless of what happens, good, bad, or indifferent, there is always reason to be found if you look for it. Sometimes it is hard to see the purpose because of prior preconditioned beliefs and/or the emotional content of the issues. So it may take a while before you can actually understand how the bigger picture of life is unfolding and working out purposefully, but it always does come clear eventually. Very often you can look back at difficult times and finally see how the circumstance provided growth or moved you geographically from one place or position to another all leading to the future that has become purposefully changed, evolved for the better if you have had the insight to adapt well to the process along the way.

On this, a wise old Sage has a lesson for you. He fills three pots with water and places each on a high fire. When the pots come to boil, carrots are placed in the first pot, eggs are placed in the second, and ground coffee beans are placed in the last. In about twenty minutes the Sage fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. And he pulled the eggs out placing them in a separate bowl too. Then the wise Sage ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl.

"If all you can see in these bowls are carrots, eggs, and coffee, you may be seeing the things around you, but you do surely not understand them," the wise Sage decrees. "Understanding requires you to look beyond the physical circumstance of things to discover meaning! Go ahead, examine these things! First the carrots, what do you feel?" You realize they have become soft, in the boiling water. When you inspect the eggs you discover the same effect has made the egg's soft inner self, hardened by the experience of boiling water. Finally, as you stir and taste the rich aroma of the coffee you wonder, what is this point of all this.

The wise old Sage explains that each of these objects have faced the same adversity: boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting, however, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been delicate and fragile with a soft liquid inner core! Its thin outer shell now remained the same to the eye but after sitting through the experience of boiling water, its soft interior had became hardened to the world. The ground coffee beans however, were unique. After being subjected to this same test of boiling water, they had applied their own influence over their adversary to overcome and change the water.

"The point dear one, is, which are you?" enquires the Sage. When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond? Are going to be the carrot, an egg or a coffee bean? The hidden truth is to realize that this choice of how you respond and evolve is always your decision in every situation. On unconscious autopilot, you may have a certain style of response to adversity that may or may not be in your best interest, but it can always be countered by a choice of conscious freewill decision.

Consider, in this example of options: Which am I? Am I the carrot that seems forthright and strong, but with pain and adversity do I wilt and become soft and lose my strength? Have I become defenseless, and weakened, unwilling to stand up for myself in the face of heated adversity? Am I the fragile egg that starts with an easy going malleable heart, but changes to be cynical and hardened to life with the heat of experiences? Do I have a fluid spirit, but after a loss, a death, a breakup, an imposed financial hardship of fraud or some other trial, have I become withdrawn, hardened, and rigid in my thinking? Does my shell look the same, but on the inside, am I bitter and tough with an immobilized stiff spirit and hardened heart?

Or am I like the coffee bean? The infectious positive spirit of the bean actually changes the hot water, changes the very circumstance that brings the pain. When the water gets hot, it releases the fragrance and flavour of pure potential into the atmosphere around it. If you are like the bean, when things are at their worst, you stand in your truth to with strength and let your positive influence change the situation around you. When the hour is the darkest and trials are their greatest, do you elevate yourself to another level, do you evolve to an improved you?

How do you handle adversity? If you handle the experiences of life poorly you will come to feel disempowered and this always brings imbalance of illness of varied symptom. If you handle your journey wisely, taking adversity in stride and applying your will to make the best of difficult experiences you will continue to grow empowered and healthy. The happiest of people do not necessarily have the best of everything; they are not gifted with a blessed life, though to the onlooker it may even seem so, they just make the most of everything that comes along their way. The only difference is in how you choose perceive the weight of adversity to make your decisions. How will you handle adversity in the future?

Have you ever walked downtown and wondered how did these old homeless people get to this beggar's place in life? Surely they began life with similar youthful ideals and aspirations for grand achievements as do most of us. When I was a young I did not meet too many peers who proposed that they were going to be a professional beggar. Their story is probably an ongoing series of events as we all have experienced but the only difference has been devastating perceptions of broken expectations driving layers of unconscious decisions that ultimately made them feel disempowered to go on. The longest term effect of fraud in your life is not financial or even physical, it is spiritual in that it has the power to break your spirit and leave your future, which is in your own hands, in disarray.

The brightest future will always be based on a forgotten past; you can't go forward in life until you overcome the present obstacles and let go of your past failures and heartaches.
